Clean and Simple Cards Day 10

I just purchased a package of aqua cards so I decided to make my set using those and butterflies. I also ended up using the same ribbon with them as well. It was fun thinking up different ways to use the same materials.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 9

Next time I do this type of card I will stamp it in the evening and color it the next day. I used the heat gun, twice, but it still was a little sticky when I colored it. Love the idea. I really liked it black and white as well.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 8

I tried the "mirror image" technique which Jennifer shared with us today. It took a few tries with different stamps until I found one that seemed to work best.
I embossed the base card, stamped a heart strip, added Diamond Stickles to three of those hearts, and then stamped the greeting.
I used colored pencils to color the mirror images.
Jennifer is right, this will extend the use of some of my stamps.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 7

I woke up with this idea in my head and made the card. Then, when I went on the site for our Clean and Simple Cards, I found that it fit right in with today's lesson.
I am going to do another card similar to this one with just WANTED on the outside with the framed image. Then on the inside I will have the "birthday parade" but it will say either " All your wishes to come true" or "your day to be fun and exciting on your birthday". Then Happy Birthday. I'm not really good with the sayings.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 6

I had fun making this hedgehog Valentine card. The hedgehog is 3 layers while the hearts, the letter and hand are 4 layers.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 5

Wow, this was more difficult than Jennifer makes it seem--at least for me. I can see I need work on the saturation of color. I love this idea and will keep working on it though. It's so much fun to get a new idea. I like the banner idea for the sentiment better than what I did as well. It stands out a little more, giving the card a more finished look.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 4

I used Hero Arts background stamp---Friend Definition. I then added Distress Ink to the paper. Next I stamped the glasses with Staz-On ink onto vellum and cut them out. I attached them with mini glue dots just in the far corners of the glasses.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 2

This is my flat card. I used "Happy Wishes" from Hero Arts. I colored in the butterfly with gel pens. Then I rounded the upper right hand corner to help balance the design.

Clean and Simple Cards Day 1

I used the second sketch for Day 1. I used Distress Ink to color the paper strip down the front because it matched the ribbon. I added the sentiment using the same Distress Ink- Festive Berries. I added a butterfly I've had for quite some time. It's a double layer with silver for the first layer. It also has some "bling" on its wings.
